PIP and Access to Work Application Support in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland
Applying for disability benefits shouldn’t be a full-time job.
But for many of us, that’s exactly what it becomes.
Endless paperwork. Confusing forms.
Systems that ask for our worst days, and still don’t believe us.
I support autistic, neurodivergent, and other disabled people across England and Wales in navigating two of the most important - but most exhausting - support systems:
Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and Access to Work.
I don’t just help you fill in forms.
I don’t just help you tell the truth.
I help you find the words for things you’ve never been able to explain.
The things you’ve masked for years. The parts of you that get misunderstood, dismissed, or ignored.
I help you name your pain, your needs, your barriers - in your own voice, with clarity and without shame.
This is what I do every day as an autistic peer-support coach.
I sit with people who’ve been told they’re “too much” or “not enough,” and help them translate their lived experience into language the system can’t ignore.
PIP: Personal Independence Payment
PIP is a benefit for people who live with a disability or long-term condition that affects their ability to function day to day.
I support you with:
Preparing your initial PIP application
Writing clear, honest impact statements
Understanding how to describe sensory, emotional, and executive functioning barriers
Gathering relevant documentation (GP letters, symptom tracking, etc.)
Navigating Mandatory Reconsideration and Tribunal preparation if needed
I bring:
Lived experience, a trauma-informed lens, and deep understanding of how autistic needs often get dismissed.
You don’t need to justify your reality. I believe you.
I help you write it in a way that can be understood by the DWP.
Access to Work in England, Scotland, and Wales
Access to Work is a UK government program that provides funding for disability-related support in the workplace for those working.
My autism coaching services qualify under Access to Work.
I’ve supported autistic professionals - public sector and private - in using this scheme to get autism coaching that actually works for them:
Goal-setting, executive functioning tools, workplace communication, sensory planning, masking and burnout recovery, and more.
All from a Neuroaffirming, non-medicalised perspective.
I help with:
Understanding if you’re eligible
Filling out the Access to Work application
Describing your support needs clearly
Responding to Access to Work assessors
Providing quotes, support letters, and professional info for the application
Delivering the actual coaching and support once approved (or for whatever other support you may need - it need not necessarily be coaching with me!)
Why Work With Me?
I’m autistic, disabled, and I’ve lived this myself
I’ve helped dozens of clients navigate both PIP and Access to Work
I bring clarity, honesty, and deep respect for your needs
My coaching is grounded in the Neurodiversity Paradigm - not fixing you, but supporting you
